Jun 07, 2016· OBD II fault code P2032 is a generic code that is defined by all manufacturers as “Exhaust gas Temperature (EGT) sensor 2, bank 1 – circuit low”, and is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects a lower than expected signal voltage from the 2 EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Sensor.
The EGTS detects exhaust gas temperature and converts it into a voltage and feeds back to the PCM with the voltage signal in order to control engine conditions to effectively reduce emissions. The PCM sets the P2482 OBDII code when the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor is out of factory specifications.

Mar 31, 2014· Now my check engine light is on. I hooked up my code reader and it says "P2033 exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit high bank 1 sensor 2". After searching it appears to be one of the 2 temp sensors on the exhaust. Two questions: 1) could beating on the exhaust to get the studs out have broken a sensor? 2) Which sensor is the code coming from?
Code P2080 denotes a detected out of range or performance problem within the EGR temperature sensor circuit on bank 1, sensor 1. This P2080 DTC refers to Bank 1 (which is the side of the engine that contains cylinder 1). An EGT sensor is found on most late model gas or diesel engines.
Dec 14, 2014· Only show this user. I have a 2011 LML. The check engine light just came on. It gave me 3 codes. First code P242D. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 3. Second code P246F. Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 4. I think I found one of the sensors on the Exhaust.

P2033 is an OBDII generic code for the exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit high bank 1 sensor 2 to the engine control module (ECM). This means the sensor signal voltage is shorted high on bank 1 sensor 2, indicating the temperature sensor is out of specified temperature range for a normal exhaust after the particulate filter on diesel engines.
